  1. In my trips to Colorado, I haven’t visited these places. But, I did drive by the Hotel Black Hawk one time. With the mountain scenery and the awesome summer weather, I don’t see how you could go wrong with any of these. And there’s one other hotel worth mentioning: the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park. Not only is located near the entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park, but it was the location for the filming of the movie, The Shining–based on the Steven King horror novel. Nope, I didn’t stay there on my visits to Estes Park. Too scary for moi! 🙂
